KEEP IT LOCAL

Saturday, February 18th 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Join the Book Shelf in welcoming Holly Booth, author of National Geographic's "Only Pack What You Can Carry"! Stop by to meet Janice, get your copy of her book signed, hear about her adventures, and enjoy light refreshments!

Magnetically written by former CEO of a North Carolina Girl Scout Council and award winning CEO for the Western New York chapter of a national arts-in-education organization, this uniquely engaging travel journal describes four keys to unlocking personal and spiritual fulfillment: solitude, introspection, courage, and commitment.

Through a series of compelling travel essays and deeply thoughtful memoirs, Janice Booth draws readers into each adventure—ranging from a solo hike through Northern California to galloping across the fields of Ireland to a short stint with the Circus Arts learning the flying trapeze—and shares her secrets to a fuller life through traveling alone.

Step by step, she demonstrates why leaving everything—and everyone—behind for a few days (or more!) is the best path to inner strength, confidence, and true self-knowledge.

The Book Shelf's Children's Christmas Book Recommendation

A heartwarming Christmas tale, this story is about a young donkey called Druplet who lives on a raspberry farm. His wish is to one day be as special as the prize horses in a nearby pasture. As Christmas rolls around, Druplet goes on an adventure that has him standing next to a baby in a manger. On returning to the farm Druplet shares his adventure with the wise barn cat who tells Druplet the story of Christmas.

Come pick up your signed copy today for your children's new favorite Christmas book!
